Brown Sugar Honey Glazed Slow Cooker Ham 🍯🍍

Slow Cooked Honey Ham

I don’t know about you, but I have struggled for years with oven space during the holidays. From pies to macaroni n cheese to cornbread dressing… it seems dishes are constantly going in & out of the oven. Trying to time everything just right so that all the food goes to the table hot is beyond stressful & with all the side dishes that require baking time it feels impossible to cook the star of the meal! Then I discovered a game changer, the crockpot! Holiday ham is now a “set it & forget it” dish & frees up my oven for all the holiday sides! My family says that this slow cooker ham is juicier than oven baking, so that’s another plus! The next time you make a ham, try this easy slow cooker recipe!

Ingredients:

Spiral honey ham

2-3 cups brown sugar

1 can of pineapple slices, reserve the juice

1/2 cup honey

To Make:

Turn your crockpot on high

Add 2 cups brown sugar to the bottom of your crockpot

Rub the ham with honey & 1 cup brown sugar

Use toothpicks to secure the pineapple slices to the ham (you can also add maraschino cherries)

Place ham in the crockpot.

Pour pineapple juice reserved from the can into the crockpot & drizzle on the ham as this will turn into a glaze

Place the lid on your crockpot. Tip: If you are cooking a large ham & the lid won’t close, cover the top of the ham with sheet of foil and place lid on top.

Cook on high for 3-4 hours, basting ham with the juices every hour.

Remember to remove toothpicks before serving & enjoy!

Another great thing about this method is you can simply refrigerate your leftovers right in the crockpot dish & you can also reheat the leftovers in the crockpot.
