These stuffed jalapeño poppers are easy to make & great for a Super Bowl party or any gathering with finger foods! Leave out the bacon for your vegetarian friends! Ooey & gooey & always a hit! 🌶🌶🌶
Ingredients:
1lb large jalapeño peppers (rinsed)
1 block cream cheese, softened
2 cups sharp cheddar, grated
7-8 sliced of bacon, cut into small pieces
Egg roll wrappers
Salt & Pepper to taste
Pinch Cayenne Pepper
Pinch Paprika
1 egg white (whisked in a small bowl)
To Make:
Fry the bacon on the stovetop to your liking (baking works also).
Set cooked bacon aside on a paper towel to cool.
Slice jalapeño peppers length-wise and spoon out the center (including seeds).
In a large mixing bowl, combine cream cheese & cheddar cheese and mix until smooth and fully combined.
Add in seasonings.
Assemble the peppers on a large sheet pan and begin scooping the cheese filling into each pepper (don’t overfill).
Add slices of bacon on top of the cheese mixture.
Roll each pepper (envelope style) into an egg roll wrap and seal with the egg white.
Once all peppers are wrapped, fry on medium-high heat until golden brown each side (1-2 minutes each side). Strain on paper towels.
Enjoy! These are great with a variety of dipping sauces, including salsa and sour cream. Also tasty on their own!
