Chicken n Dumplings 🥟

Another classic comfort food, chicken n dumplings! This is one of my family’s favorite meals & it couldn’t be easier to make. This is a perfect crock pot meal to make on a rainy day. Grab a warm blanket & a good movie & enjoy! From my family to yours! ♥️

Ingredients:

2 large cans of cream of chicken soup

1 cup water

3-4 boneless skinless chicken breasts

1/2 white or yellow onion, diced

2-3 stalks of celery, diced

2 large carrots, sliced into thin coins

2 large russet potatoes, peeled & cubed

1/4 cup butter, cold & sliced into pads

1 cup milk

2 tablespoons dried thyme

Salt

Pepper

Original biscuit dough (canned)

To Make:

Set your crockpot on high & add in your soup & water. Whisk together. Add salt, pepper & thyme.

Stir in your vegetables.

Season chicken breast on both sides with salt, pepper & thyme.

Add chicken to mixture.

Cover with pads of butter, then place the lid on your crockpot.

Go enjoy a glass (or two) of wine and set a timer for 3 hours…

After 3 hours, pull the chicken breasts from your crockpot & place then in a large bowl.

Using two large forks, shred the chicken meat.

Add the cup of milk to the mixture and stir.

Place the shredded chicken back into the crockpot and cover with lid.

Open biscuits and roll them about 1/2 think with a rolling pin on a floured surface.

Using a pizza cutter, cut the dough into small squares.

Place the dough on top of the mixture in the crockpot and cover with lid.

Cook for another hour.

Serve hot & enjoy! If you have extra biscuits, bake em and use them for dunking! This meal is great for leftovers! Simply reheat the next day!
